The Saudi-led aggression launched several air raids on Kitaf district of Yemen’s Sa’ada province on Wednesday.

The Saudi-led raids targeted a school district in Al Salem area, a local official said, adding that the school was completely destroyed and adjacent homes were damaged.

It is obvious that the Saudi-led coalition targets the education process in Yemen, according to the official.

The Saudi aggression has destroyed more than 80 schools in Sa’ada since last March [2014], when the coalition began its aggression on Yemen, in addition to many offices of Education Ministry, he further said.

A day earlier, two citizens were killed and another wounded due to Saudi-led airstrikes on Razih District in Sa’ada as well. The airstrikes led to the destruction of two homes and damage to other homes around them.

Also, Saudi-led warplanes attacked Sanhan district of Sana’a governorate with three airstrikes on Tuesday, with the raids targeting a citizen’s house at Bait al-Ahmar village beside two farms in the district.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States began to launch a military aggression on Yemen by carrying out airstrikes against the country since March 26 in an attempt to restore power to the country’s fugitive former Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

The airstrikes have not been authorized by the United Nations [UN].

The ’civilian’ death toll in Yemen has risen to more than 2,300 with more than 4,000 other civilians wounded in the fighting in the country that has raged for more than a year now, according to the UN recently this month [September]. Yet, other organizations put the death toll at much higher.
